A writer has an innate responsibility to his readers. He has a responsibility to history too – a history made by consensus, and not by so called "winners" according to a tv speaker. He should not decieve, he should not play with the truth. He has the power, he has the gift, then he has to make righteous product out of it.
Sometimes, it is really sad that some people abuse this power. They write poor researched garbage. They mislead, they trick people – purposely or unconsiously. They mix facts and fictions, they rewrite history.
I personally think that every reader has that duty to oneself to assess everything they read before accepting it. However, if an unaware gets flooded with garbage more frequently than his mind can handle, his version of the truth may be skewed permanently and unconsciously.
To this, who should be held responsible?
PS. If it's just ok to make a fiction out of general truth, I hope one Filipino writer make a danbrwn version of Rizal, Mabini, and Bonifacio's life. O kaya naman, a danbrwn version or Philippine history wherein we defeated the spaniards, japanese and american conquerors. Then make a movie and let kids of today watch it. Hopefully this is the answer to our patriotism problem.

Point is, Jesus is a real man and not just a literary character from a comic book. To write false things about Him is slander even if the author just lifted the idea from another. Poetic license? I don’t think so. It is not fiction if you’re dealing with a real man.

I’m not mad at him, enjoyed reading his books nga e. I’m just saying, he spit on Jesus, and there’s nothing fiction about that. You don’t just tweak the life story of our grandpas would you? What more if its Jesus. Kung sa muslim nya ginawa yun, dedo na sha.
I don’t know about gospel of judas. If i’m in His time and i’m an antiChrist, I would make hoax documents and keep it secret. In time when people found it, it will produce confusion. Some people just believe and not question the authority of the writer. They think that as long as it’s old,its secret, its damn true.
